What you experience
We combine high-level musical and performance training with bodywork (Feldenkrais), mental coaching (Resilience), and practical tools for artistic development, musical storytelling and focusing onto the individual development in a supportive peer group setting. In this hands-on, collaborative environment, you sharpen your artistic profile, build real confidence, and receive honest audition feedback from professional agents and artistic directors.

Workshops and classes are held throughout the year in various locations, reflecting the international spirit of OPE(R)Nlabor.
Regular workshops and classes take place both online and in person in Bielefeld, Munich, Zurich, Athens and Venice, allowing artists to stay connected with the faculty and continue their development even from remote locations.
One of the programs recurring elements is a dedicated intensive summer academy at Künstlerhaus Boswil, offering immersive training in an inspiring Swiss countryside setting.
OPE(R)Nlabor originated as a pilot project in Boston in 2017 and has since grown into a flexible, multi-site platform for advanced artistic and mental training in opera.
